I sent her a text
that said
You make me feel like
im looking at a Rothko
thru the internet
I imagined her
in line at another art exhibit
pulling out her phone
and showing her friends
not asking what to make of it
but to prove a point.
And later on
in a hazy freefall
I receive her reply
any Rothko in particular babe?
and as if to prove her point
I couldn’t name a single piece.
